Sara Rodriguez just wants to make things simpler. The chairwoman of the Hispanic Wealth Project and CEO of Titan Title, live and in person at AVANCE Global at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, says that the more ambitious the plans get and the more that is created, the more bloated things tend to become.
It’s a good problem to have, but still a problem. She loves taking the complicated and simplifying it for herself and for others.
Simplifying isn’t always simple. Rodriguez says she’s willing to ask a million questions to understand a situation. She knows it may make her seem naive or uninformed in the moment, but that humility is what allows her to do her best work.
“I want to hear your perspective,” the CEO says. “I’m curious, and I want to see how you look at the world because maybe you’re bringing a perspective that’s going to give me an idea.”
Rodriguez says the world of title insurance is often misunderstood, and she gets it. That’s what makes her own approach so critical. She will break it down as much as need be to make her clients feel educated, informed, and secure.
The leader says she started investing in her own professional education long before she was a business owner herself. Through the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), Rodriguez says she was able to surround herself with people who were thinking bigger, acting bigger, and who provided her with models to emulate.
“I always tell entrepreneurs to surround yourself with people who are doing better because they’re going to pull you up,” the CEO says. “Go to organizations that really fill your heart and learn from there. Get involved.”
Rodriguez is particularly proud of the Hispanic Wealth Project’s High Net Worth Bootcamp, a selective, 10-week wealth-building program designed to help Latino entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors turn established income and assets into lasting, generational wealth.
The CEO is also excited that Titan Title will be expanding to new states. In so many ways, Rodriguez has become the NAHREP role model she sought early on in her career. She is now showing others how to grow, how to become more efficient, and how to continue to serve others in the process.
