The president of Suntender Valuations remembers your name and details about you days after meeting you at AVANCE Global in Las Vegas, a conference of thousands. It’s the kind of skill you associate with particularly adept political candidates or power brokers. Ricardo Peinado Jr. goes out of his way to greet you the next time he sees you. So when he tells you Suntender Valuations, a nationwide appraisal management company, prides itself on listening to its clients, you believe him.

“I want to get engaged with them [clients] and know where their bottlenecks are or the discrepancies with the service they’re receiving,” Peinado explains. “How can we eliminate those gaps?”

Peinado says Suntender actively seeks feedback from its clients and evolves to meet their needs, always looking to innovate and enhance its services. He says he has seen businesses that, one way or another, have developed a reputation for taking advantage of their clients. Some of those reputations are earned. The president urges his clients and those seeking representation to ask questions.

“As a client, ask questions of the mortgage bank you’re working with, of the real estate agent you’re working with, and if you see they’re uncomfortable addressing the questions, you should be alarmed,” Peinado says. The executive says he was taught that if your client has questions or doubts, then you haven’t done your job.

While some clients want to move as quickly as possible, Peinado says Suntender works to make the process faster by front-loading education. Competitors may move more quickly with less education, he says, and he welcomes them. Clients will understand the difference.

“You shouldn’t be scared of the competition,” Peinado says. “When you’re providing the best service, you welcome it, because you want them to experience what it means to not be working with the best, and then what it means to be working with you.”

Being the best isn’t a static objective for Peinado. He continues to cultivate habits that help make his tomorrow better than his today. Looking ahead, he wants to keep growing Suntender Valuations and to create financial freedom for others.

Peinado quotes keynote speaker and performance expert Ed Mylett.

“Achieving your best is unselfish. It is selfish if you allow yourself to not achieve your best because of what you will do for others. That’s what I’m looking to do. God has put that vision in my mind, and I want to make sure that I do the work to fulfill those promises.”
