Hispanic Executive Staff represents the editorial team behind Hispanic Executive's…
Hispanic Executive celebrates the Latino leaders whose ambition, expertise, and sense of community are changing how business gets done. They build teams, take on the hard problems, and make room for others to rise alongside them, and that is what leadership looks like to us.
Our October Executives to Watch 2026 list features six Hispanic and Latino executives working across technology, legal, finance, supply chain, real estate, sports, and more. From a Major League Baseball front office to the studios of Hollywood, and from the digital shelves of Amazon and TikTok Shop to one of the fastest growing brokerages in the country, these leaders show that heritage and a global perspective are real competitive advantages.

Nicolas Carballo
Assistant Vice President, Omnichannel Supply Chain
L’Oréal
Nicolas Carballo sent fifty cold emails to L’Oréal recruiters before one of them wrote back. He was born in the United States while his parents were studying here, but the family returned to Uruguay before his first birthday, and that is where he grew up. He spent more than six years in accounting, operations, and business management at smaller organizations before making the leap to the corporate world with a larger Chilean company in Uruguay. He and his now wife, also born in the United States, had always dreamed of coming back, so they both left their jobs to pursue full time MBAs at Boston University. With no professional network in the country, he kept knocking on doors until an internship at L’Oréal became his way into the company. He has since held a range of roles there and today manages the omnichannel supply chain, supporting a fast growing business that runs from Amazon to TikTok Shop. A father of three young children, he also serves on the leadership team of L’Oréal’s Hispanic coalition, helping create the kind of community he did not have when he first arrived.

Ezio Carrion
Vice President, Information Security Architecture and Engineering
Sony Pictures Entertainment
Ezio Carrion grew up in a Brazilian town of about five thousand people, and a single computer course set the direction for everything that followed. He built his technology career through a series of roles in Brazil, including time at Citi, before spending several years as chief technology officer at what was then the largest credit card organization in the country. In 2017 he was invited to move to the United States, where he joined First American before taking on his current role at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Today he leads a global team responsible for information security architecture and engineering, building scalable, high performing organizations focused on AI and automation driven security. He directs security by design across all of Sony Pictures software and services, leads security assessments for mergers and acquisitions, and oversees risk and compliance, working closely with partners, senior leadership, and the C suite. With his organization deeply invested in AI adoption, his teams are now building and training AI agents of their own. True to the curiosity that started it all, he is also completing a master’s degree in artificial intelligence at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Eddie Garcia
CEO and Founder
Realty of America
Before founding one of the fastest growing residential real estate brokerages in the United States, Eddie Garcia knew what it meant to start with very little. He immigrated from Mexico to Chicago at age five, and his childhood was marked by financial hardship, including a stretch when his family shared a one bedroom apartment with eleven other people. Those years shaped his drive to build a better life and to create opportunities for others. He first built Realty of Chicago into a regional powerhouse before envisioning a new industry model centered on shared equity, recurring revenue, and long term wealth creation for agents. In September 2024, he launched Realty of America alongside fellow real estate leaders, and by its second anniversary the company had grown to more than 3,600 agents across 26 markets and surpassed $8 billion in lifetime sales volume. He has also focused on mentorship and on creating pathways to leadership and ownership for Hispanic real estate professionals, and in 2026, 47 Realty of America agents were recognized across NAHREP’s Top 250 Latino Agents and specialty rankings. Driven by a personal pledge to help one thousand agents and leaders become millionaires, he is working to make real estate a career that builds generational wealth for underrepresented communities.

Luis Huerta
Head of Finance, Product Engineering Hardware, Meta Reality Labs
Meta
Luis Huerta never imagined his career would lead him to the frontier of consumer technology. Originally from Mexico, he started his professional life there, landing an internship and then his first job at Kellogg’s after college. He later came to the United States to earn his master’s degree and made a point of trying out different industries, an approach he still recommends to anyone starting out because of the perspective it brings. A few years at Microsoft tested him in new ways. He wrestled with imposter syndrome and had to learn to find his own voice, a lesson that continues to shape how he leads. Today he heads finance for product engineering hardware at Meta Reality Labs, the division behind the company’s virtual reality, augmented reality, and wearable devices. He credits the discipline it took to get here and feels lucky and grateful for every step along the way. He is also clear eyed about the road ahead. When he looks around his organization and the broader tech industry, he sees fewer Hispanic professionals than there should be, and he hopes that sharing his journey will help change that.
