As president and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, I have the privilege of leading America’s largest Hispanic business organization. We serve as the premier advocate for more than 4.2 million Hispanic-owned businesses that, combined, contribute over $668 billion to the American economy every year. We also advocate on behalf of 260 major American corporations and serve as the umbrella organization for two hundred local chambers and business associations nationwide.
While we advocate on behalf of men and women who happen to be of Hispanic descent, we never forget that we are first and foremost American businesses. Every tax bill we pay, every job we create, every product we manufacture, and every service we provide goes to benefit our American economy.
In that context, I believe I have an accountability in my role, along with publications such as Hispanic Executive, to shine a light on those extraordinary members of our business community—whether they are trailblazers in corporate America or leading their own iconic enterprises. By inviting these líderes to tell their own stories, they become the very best ambassadors to the next generation of strategic thinkers, problem-solvers, innovators, and job creators. I thank them for inspiring our community and our country.
