Victor Guevara is vice president of competitions and team services at Leagues Cup, a leader at Soccer United Marketing, and a founding member of the Players’ Commission.

An ex-professional football player who played with three Mexican Clubs, Guevara now has two master’s degrees, one in business administration with a leadership specialization and an MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid.

In 2004, he started his corporate career at FMF as a statistics manager, and a few years later he became the International match commissioner for International Association Football Federation (FIFA), which allowed him to participate as assistant general coordinator in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup and as a member of the LOC in the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

Early in 2023, he was invited to join Leagues Cup to lead the new format and structure of the tournament as vice president of this international project between Major League Soccer and LIGA MX.
