30 Under 30: Pablo Benavente

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Pablo Benavente is making huge waves in public affairs. As the senior political and government relations manager at Turo, the world’s largest peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace, he manages multistate government relations. When asked what he considers his greatest career accomplishment, he cites passing legislation across the country that clearly defines peer-to-peer car sharing as a separate industry to the car rental industry.

Outside of work, Benavente is passionate about helping immigrants in his community—he serves as cochair of Monument Impact, a nonprofit that helps immigrants, refugees, and low-income residents. Benavente helped the company surpass its fundraising goal of $25,000 to almost two million dollars to help families pay for basic needs during the pandemic, such as rent and food. He plans to continue pushing himself both personally and professionally and helping his community. He even sees himself running for office one day. He certainly has our vote.
