American Express Marketing Director Greg Guimarães Cohen is leading the launch of American Express Business into a new category, right from his bedroom. During his time at AmEx, Greg has sought out the most complex challenges because he believes those are the opportunities that will help one learn and grow. He was an integral part of AmEx’s effort to refresh and modernize its brand back in 2018 and is currently leading the transformation of what and how American Express Business sells its growing ecosystem of solutions.
He brings that same level of ambition to his mission of elevating people—especially young members of the Latinx community—in any way he can. Guimarães Cohen is also the national lead of the company’s Hispanic/Latinx network, in which role he’s helping to create opportunities to recruit, retain, and grow Hispanic and Latinx talent.
Guimarães Cohen strives for a chief marketing officer role down the line to meet his ultimate goal: impacting change and benefitting people by being the driving force of how a brand treats its colleagues, communities, and customers.
