30 Under 30: Arnold Morales

Arnold Morales works at Boeing as a deputy lead systems engineer, where he manages five employees who together integrate eighty design teams to certify safety on the 777X airplane. He mixes his passion for helping others outside of work as a talent ambassador, occasional recruiter, and course instructor at the aerospace company.

The second-generation Latino was born in the US but raised in Honduras. Several key mentors and coaches helped Morales advance in his career, and today, he runs an organization called Nontraditional College Success. The group exists to bridge gaps for first-generation, low-income, and minority students from nontarget schools who are trying to land a job with top companies. The author, speaker, and career coach creates a daily post on his LinkedIn (eighteen thousand followers), monthly newsletter articles (five thousand subscribers), and has done over one hundred presentations and appearances on helping students land their dream job.

He also sits on advisory councils for Ivy Tech Community College, Purdue University, and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Morales is prolific and releases his content free of charge. “I do all of this because if it weren’t for the people that helped me, I wouldn’t have accomplished my dreams,” he says. “Now it is my turn to do the same plus more.”
