It’s all about community for Claudia Prado. Today, she serves as the senior director of corporate social responsibility at Univision, in which role she leads the company’s community-based programs and serves as a liaison between Univision corporate teams and more than one hundred television and radio stations. She’s also launched several initiatives in her role, including a company-wide day of service, a campaign to encourage Latino employees to vote in local and presidential elections, and Univision’s first scholarship program for the children of employees. That program has already awarded $100,000 in scholarships.
Prado was also asked to join the cast of an Amazon Prime/Apple TV docuseries that brought together like-minded innovators to examine social issues and develop solutions that are aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals—a career highlight, Prado says. She also serves as a member of the FIU Business Alumni Board and represents Univision in the LULAC Corporate Alliance. Last, but certainly not least, Prado spends time working on a purpose-driven business she founded, Yum Pup: the organization aims to make fresh and healthy food accessible to all dogs and is scheduled to go to market in 2021.
