What is your greatest career accomplishment to date?
My greatest career accomplishment to date was playing a pivotal role in the launch of the first-ever AI agent in Microsoft Entra in early 2025. Seeing the agent go from concept to a real solution that helps our customers was incredibly rewarding!
What is your greatest personal accomplishment to date?
My greatest personal accomplishment to date was becoming the first in my family to graduate from college, earning my degree in cognitive science with honors from Pitzer College. It was a milestone that represented years of hard work and the perseverance of my family. Seeing them there to celebrate that moment with me, knowing what it meant to all of us, was the happiest and most meaningful moment of my life so far.
What do you do today to impact your community?
I am passionate about empowering underprivileged communities like mine to access career opportunities in the tech industry. In 2023, I started Techies, an online initiative dedicated to providing career resources and opportunities to the next generation of diverse tech leaders.
Over the past years, I have also mentored and shared my story with young people from my country Paraguay who, just like me ten years ago, believed that going to college was impossible. I’ve watched them go from self-doubt to becoming students at universities in the US, Europe, and Asia. Mentoring others has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Because I was inspired by mentors, I am now committed to being the mentor others need.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I see myself continuing to build innovative products that address pressing global challenges.
What is the biggest issue that you want to help solve, and why?
One of the biggest issues I want to help solve is access to higher education and career opportunities for young people from underprivileged communities.
Growing up in a community where higher education often felt out of reach, I saw how young talent and potential were limited. Not by ability, but by lack of access, resources, and guidance. I believe every young person deserves the chance to pursue their goals, no matter where they come from.
What is a moment when you realized the impact of your work?
Hearing directly from customers about how the products I’ve helped build are improving their daily operations and enabling them to achieve more. Knowing that something I contributed to is making their work easier, more secure, or more efficient reinforces why I do what I do and motivates me to keep building with purpose.
What advice would 10-year-old you be shocked to hear you followed?
I think 10-year-old me would be shocked to hear that I stepped so far outside of my comfort zone and ended up going to college abroad. Back then, even the idea of going to college felt like a distant dream. I didn’t imagine I would be living in another country, speaking a new language every day, and building a career in tech.
What’s a cultural tradition that always brings you joy?
A cultural tradition from Paraguay that always brings me joy is celebrating the Fiesta de San Juan every June. During this festival, we gather to enjoy delicious traditional food such as chipa, Paraguayan soup, and mbeju. We sing guaranias (genre of music created in Paraguay), and watch traditional dances, like the amazing Paraguayan bottle dance, where dancers skillfully balance bottles on their heads. We also play classic San Juan games such as Paila Jeheréi, Kambuchi Jejoka, and Pelota Tata. These moments filled with music, dance, and community always remind me of the richness of our Paraguayan culture.
What song do you listen to that motivates you?
“Viajando Voy” by Tierra Adentro.
